SCOOTERELLA
Scooterella was
fourteen years old when her mother passed away. She was deeply saddened because she and her mother were very close. Six
months later, her father met Rosalita Enchilada, who was the owner of the Taco Hut. They were soon married. Scooterella
was saddened by this, but didn't tell her father, because she wanted him to be happy. In her heart, Scooterella knew
that Rosalita didn't love her father. Rosalita only wanted his money to bail the Taco Hut out of financial trouble.
See, Scooterella's father was a wealthy business man.
Scooterella went to school with Rosalita's two daughters,
Trisha and Keet. They were jealous of Scooterella, because she ran with the "In Crowd". They also envied her because
she didn't have to work for what she had. Rosalita saw her daughters as a great way to save on labor costs. So Keet
and Trisha spent much of their free time waiting on customers and making tacos. They would've much rather been hanging
out with their friends.
When Rosalita, Trisha and Keet moved into the lavish estate that Scooterella and her father
called home; the Enchilada women knew that they had it made. Scooterella was immediately put to work at the Taco Hut,
and Keet and Trisha began to pawn their duties off on poor Scooterella. They split the cashier duties between themselves, and
all the dirty kitchen work was heaped on Scooterella. She would slave away until the wee hours of the morning, while Trisha
and Keet would be out clubbing.
This went on for years, unbeknown to Scooterella's father, who spent much of
his time on business trips. He only knew that his daughter was working at the Taco Hut, which he thought it was a good idea
that she learn responsibility, and that she make a little money for her whims. He never knew that she was being used like
a slave, and never got a single cent for her labor.
Then one day it was announced that the infamous Ben Ning, and
his brother Vinny were throwing a grand ball to celebrate the success of their Rooster Palace franchise. They were proud
of the fact that the Rooster Palace was going international, and that the company was now worth billions. They were
only inviting the most distinguished individuals to the party, and since Scooterella's father helped make Rooster Palace
what it was, his family were to attend. Keet and Trisha were ecstatic about the news, but Rosalita informed them that the
only way they would be permitted to go, was after the Taco Hut was scrubbed spotless. The girls were undaunted, they knew
that Scooterella was going to be having a late night at the Taco Hut.
Keet and Trisha took the money they stashed
away, money that was supposed to be Scooterella's pay, and went shopping. They knew that Vinny was single, and was secretly
looking to change that. This meant that they had to be absolutely stunning. Many a night they dreamed of being Vinny's
girl, and here was the chance of a lifetime.
The night of the ball finally arrived, and Keet and Trisha were radiant
in their designer gowns with matching accessories. Scooterella looked at the girls, filled with longing as they gave her
the list of chores to be done at the Taco Hut. They didn't want the health inspectors to find so much as a fry on the floor.
She was digging out the grease trap, when she heard a voice behind her say: "Get up girl, why you messin wit dat mess
when we got shoppin to do?" She jumped to her feet and spun toward the voice. She saw a gorgeous woman in a mini skirt
and a silk frilly top. "Why you starin, you act like you never saw a hot lookin godmother befoe."
"You mean like
a fairy godmother?" Scooterella asked, disbelief in her voice. She was amused at the thought, but wanted to get her work
done so she could get home and watch Letterman.
"Hell no, I ain't no fairy! But, I do got a little magic, now lets
go!" The lady introduced herself as Felecia, and said she was a guardian witch. She explained how fairies became extinct centuries
ago, so guardian witches were chosen and took the place of fairy godmothers.
"I'd love too, but my stepmother will
kill me if this place isn't spotless by morning." Scooterella replied disheartened.
"Let me handle that," Felecia
answered as she was making a call on her cell phone. "Yeah it's me, git over to da Taco Hut, and bring yo crew." She
flipped the phone closed and turned to Scooterella. "C'mon girl, times wastin. We got a lot to do, and a cleaning crew
is on da way to git dis mess. Now lets git you cleaned up too" With that they went out back and got into Felecia's Charger,
and roared off to the spa, where Scooterella was scrubbed, waxed, and moisturized, until she shone like a diamond.
"How
can I afford this?" Scooterella asked Felecia.
"Dat's what this is for," she responded flashing a golden Master Card.
"Magic credit card with unlimited funds." Felecia then raced her to boutique. She was fitted into a gown so beautiful,
it would make the queen of England jealous. To accent the dazzling gown, she was given a pair of emerald shoes that
sparkled and shined. Now that she was the most beautiful looking lady in the state, she was taken to the alley behind
the Taco Hut. Felecia shook her head at the Pinto, which was Scooterella's ride. "Uh uh, no way you goin in dat!" Felecia
exclaimed. She flicked the magic credit card at the pinto, and it changed into the most beautiful Mustang ever seen.
"Dat's what I'm talkin bout! Now git goin, and make sure you git yo man!"
"How can I ever thank you?" Scooterella
asked as she fired up the Mustang.
"Git yo man, and be back here at six am, I gotta have the stuff returned by
then, or it caomes outta my pay. I don't wanna lose my credit and have to go back to the projects!" Felecia answered in
a no nonsense tone.
Scooterella raced out of town and to the mansion of Vinny and Ben Ning. At first, she was
upset when she was asked for her invitation, but then she saw one in her designer handbag. She gracefully entered the
grand ballroom. The size and décor of the room took her breath away, it was the most beautiful room she had ever seen.
It was obvious that the Ning brothers spared no expense on this event.
"Why good evening, it is a pleasure to make
your acquaintance," said a most charming voice. Scooterella turned to the owner of the voice, and was shocked to see
Vinny kissing her hand gently. "I don't believe we've met, My name is Vinny Ning."
"My name is S-Ella," Scooterella
decided at the last moment that she had best keep her identity a secret for the time being. "The pleasure is all mine."
Vinny escorted her to the gorgeous hardwood dance floor, they waltzed their way around the floor. Scooterella never
was happier than in the arms of Vinny Ning. She was filled with a sense of satisfaction when she saw Keet and Trisha staring with
gaping mouths at the sight of Vinny Ning dancing with Scooterella. Of course, they had no idea that it was their stepsister
in the arms of their dream date. They danced the night away, and when they would stop; Vinny never left her side. Scooterella
felt as though she had died and gone to heaven. She didn't notice the guests dwindle, until it was just the two of them.
Scooterella
saw the glow through the stained glass windows, and was horrified to see her diamond studded watch read five-thirty. "I- i-i
really gotta go, this has been the best night of my life, Vinny!" she proclaimed as she ran for the doors.
"Wait,
don't run away! I didn't even get your number!" cried Vinny. Scooterella didn't hear him, since she was already halfway down
the sprawling stairway. She was starting across the driveway to the Mustang when she stepped in a crack and twisted her
ankle. As she fell she lost one of her emerald shoes.
Scooterella knew she had to get moving if she hoped to beat traffic.
She tossed her remaining emerald shoe to the passenger side of the car as she tore off toward the Taco Hut. She caught
the beginning of rush hour traffic as she got within two blocks of Taco Hut. So it was five minutes to six when she
whipped into the alley behind Taco Hut. "You cut it mighty close, girl" Felecia warned as she told Scooterella to give
her the clothes back. Scooterella grabbed her gym bag from the back seat and stripped right there in the car. She was
leaning over next to the steering wheel tying her sneakers, when Felecia called into the window: "You best git yo head up,
girl!" Scooterella straightened up to ask why, when she got her reason. The car seemed to melt and shrink before her eyes.
The Mustang disappeared and was instantly replaced with her old Pinto.
Scooterella was scrubbing the grill in the
back of the Taco Hut when she heard a familiar voice out front. She left the kitchen area and entered the dining area,
when she saw Vinny and his bodyguard standing at the counter holding her emerald shoe. "The girl of my dreams lost this,
the same way I lost her," Vinny explained to Keet and Trisha. "Whoever this shoe fits, will come with me and we will
do whatever we choose."
Keet was the first to grab the shoe, and try it on. She was heartbroken when her small foot
swam in the shoe. "Well I did have on a couple pair of socks," Keet said trying to get Vinny's attention. He glared
at her and told her to hand the shoe over. She pouted as she obeyed his command. Trisha laughed at her sister and said:
"Watch this, I will be Mrs. Vinny Ning!" She thrust her foot into the mouth of the shoe, and screamed as it crushed her large
foot. "My foot is just swollen from all the dancing, You know I am the girl of your dreams."
"You wish, now give
me the shoe back," Vinny instructed as he turned to Scooterella. When their eyes met, they knew that there was something
they both wanted. "Please, would you try this shoe, madam?"
"Yeah right the only thing Scooterella danced with was
a mop," Keet said as she and Trisha erupted in a fit of laughter. Vinny sneered at their rudeness, and held his hand
out to Scooterella. Outraged at his attention going to her stepsister and not to her, and out of fear that the shoe
would fit her, Trisha grabbed the emerald shoe and thrust it at the counter. It exploded into a shower of green shards
as it collided. Scooterella burst into tears and ran back to the kitchen. Vinny ran after her to try and comfort her.
He saw her rush out the back door and followed.
Scooterella was sitting in the driver's seat of her Pinto when Vinny
came out the door. She closed it and rolled the window up. He went to the passenger side and opened the door before she
could lock it. Vinny sat in the passenger seat and something green and glittery on the floor caught his eye. "It was
you!" Vinny exclaimed as he picked up the mate to his shoe. "Why didn't you tell me? I've been searching for you, and
thought I'd never see you again."
"W-w-why would you want to find me? Look at me, I am just a servant to my evil
stepsisters." she said through her tears.
"I don't care what you are to them, I only care about what you are to
me. And you are a charming girl that I love and want to be with." Vinny leaned over and gently turned her head to him.
He then leaned over and gave her the most passionate kiss she'd ever experienced. With that said, the two of them rode
into the sunset in an orange Pinto.
That was years ago. Vinny and Scooterella were married a few months later,
and it was the biggest event of the year. Everyone was there, except the Enchilada sisters. They were too busy cleaning
the Taco Hut, because the new owners were coming to inspect it, and it had to be perfect. Everybody knows the Ning brothers hate
a messy restaurant. After he learned what the stepsisters put Scooterella through, Vinny Ning met with Ben Ning and they
did a hostile takeover of the Taco Hut. Now Rosalita is just a shift manager and the girls are full time fry cooks and
janitors. Part of the takeover conditions stated that they were required to stay with the company for at least another
five years, which was plenty of time for Vinny to repay their cruelty to Scooterella. And most of them, lived happily
ever after.
